The New York Yankees’ 2018 season has come and gone. That really sucks. No other way to put it, really. At least I have the Giants? The Knicks? I like LeBron, at least I have that? Yeah, no, it’s going to be a long winter. None of my other teams are particularly close to a real shot at winning anything. That suuuuuuuucks. I have a lot of thoughts on what’s happened here. Some of them will become their own, in-depth posts as the offseason gets going. Let’s just get right into it: I don’t like to play the “Fire (insert coach here)”...

The Yanks have gotten several guys back from DL stints and have gotten good news on some other injury concerns recently. They’re about as healthy as they’ve been all year! Despite the good news they’ve gotten, I just can’t help but feel very concerned about a few of the injuries they’re dealing with. Specifically, I’m worried about four guys as we’re approaching the postseason. Aaron Hicks Hicks is dealing with hamstring tightness. Their biggest problem this season remains that they play in the same division as the Boston Red Sox. The Yankees are still on pace for about 101 wins. That’s awesome. With that having been said, they no longer have the “second best record in baseball” thing going for them (Houston has surpassed them and is absolutely rolling right now) and I am officially nervous...

The Yankees addressed their biggest need at the trade deadline when they boosted their pitching staff and brought in JA Happ and Lance Lynn (and Zach Britton!). The moves have largely worked out, aside from a few bad innings from Britton and Lynn’s relative stinker in his last start, and have forced a struggling Sonny Gray out of the rotation. Sonny made his first start since the demotion in the nightcap of Saturday’s double-header against the Baltimore Orioles. He was dazzling in his performance, finishing with a line of 6.1 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. He...
