The Wild Card roster is starting to take shape! The Yankees announced that Luis Severino will be taking the ball on Wednesday night in the Bronx, hoping to redeem himself for the abysmal second half of this season, as well as last year’s Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins. I think this is ultimately the right move when you consider how Boone, Cashman, and Co. are planning to attack this game. It isn’t like a normal start. If it were, my first choice would probably still be Masahiro Tanaka and I would have been very okay with JA Happ...

Who doesn't love a 12-1 smackdown? Stupid question right? NOW, who doesn't love a 12-1 smackdown, at the Trop? I love it even more. Because FUCK THE TROP. Finally, after a season-long struggle at this hellhole of a baseball stadium, we emerged victorious. Our luxurious team airplane soared away from the Tampa area with 3/4 series win and a 12-1 destruction on Thursday afternoon. With those pesky Athletics nipping at our heels like a pack of menacing junkyard dogs, this was a nice confidence booster victory. For real.  And I'm not talking about the Always Sunny situation when they tried to get...

Sooo. The main question after this game is: "have we seen enough from Sevy for him to start the Wild Card Game?" And yes, I'm writing this on Friday - I'm an honest man, wouldn't lie to you guys. But the question still applies, even if we've had days to consider it! Sevy's line on Tuesday was: 5 IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 3 walks, 7 Ks The man cruised through the first 2 innings, like Dominic Toretto down the streets of LA. Yes, that was another Rovell/Mike Greenberg joke. I try to embrace my corny side and throw a...

Despite what Yankees Twitter might tell you, there have been many Magic Moments for the 2018 Yankees. We've got all of them for you on this thread.   April 26- Gary Walks-Off the Twins Favorite song from favorite baseball movie + favorite player doing my favorite thing pic.twitter.com/uifKFXBsLg — Jomboy (@Jomboy_) April 26, 2018  Gary's walk-off homer against Minnesota was a huge lift, and it was the hit that felt like the thing that kickstarted a long string of magic moments early in the year. The Yanks went down 3-0 on a pair of annoying homers in the third and sixth innings, respectively....

Classic Boone. Classic Fucking Aaron Boone. I've been saying the same type of thing all year... I'm not trying to hate on the guy, but if we win the World Series this year, it would be despite our manager and his decisions. I truly think he isn't cut out to be the Yankees manager. Anyone could manage this team to 95-100 wins. Our team is STACKED. Girardi could have done it. Easily. Even a notoriously shitty MLB manager (think Bobby Valentine) could have probably done it. A bottle of ketchup definitely could have done it. A bag of potato chips? No question....
