The Wild Card roster is starting to take shape! The Yankees announced that Luis Severino will be taking the ball on Wednesday night in the Bronx, hoping to redeem himself for the abysmal second half of this season, as well as last year’s Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins. I think this is ultimately the right move when you consider how Boone, Cashman, and Co. are planning to attack this game. It isn’t like a normal start. If it were, my first choice would probably still be Masahiro Tanaka and I would have been very okay with JA Happ...

UGH. Why do we keep having our team do this to us? They fall behind in a game, then make a miraculous comeback, only to fall short. They get us all hyped up and excited - only to send our hopes and dreams crashing to the ground. This was basically the baseball equivalent of Blue Balls. Kids, if you don't know what that is...ask your parents. Or your brother. Or that homeless guy down the street from your house who keeps screaming out "It's the Government's fault!" Now, picture this: Imagine buying tickets to a Drake concert.  You're super pumped,...

Oh well. The Red Sox won the final game and celebrated on our field. And drank champagne in our locker room.  Yes, it sucks...but what are ya gonna do?  Sweeping them was clearly a tough request. And, even if we did, it would have just been delaying the inevitable.  The Red Sox were going to win the division, even when this series started. Yes, it would have been nice to prevent them from celebrating on our field. As I was watching that ending last night, part of me wanted to take out my anger in a physical way. Bodychecking a...

Awesome win on Friday night... (Spoiler Alert): It turned out to be the only enjoyable game of the weekend. From a strictly selfish perspective, I was pretty happy to be able to celebrate a Yankee win on my 24th birthday.  For any of you that are curious about how my birthday/Friday night were, let's just say...hmm, how do I phrase this? Basically, I spent the majority of Saturday laying in bed, clutching a water jug like I was cuddling a girl (yeah, I like cuddling sometimes, sue me), and contemplating my entire life's choices. Note: My hungover mornings/afternoons usually cause me...

Ahhh. There's nothing better than a nice, simple Yankees victory. No stress. No issues. Just a SUPER dominant pitching performance, a couple of dingers, and bing, bang, boom: easy victory! Combine that with a few victory beers, and it was a pretty solid night overall!  Let's first talk about MASA.  Masa was more dominant than Happy Gilmore in his miraculous comeback against Shooter McGavin - you guys remember that? All time sports moment. All time. But, back to Tanaka...this was arguably his best start ever: 8 IP, 3 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 10 Ks. Holy shit. WHAT. A. BEAST. It...
