Okay, I'm about to run through this final regular season series REAL quick. Now I know what you're thinking...Johnny, you usually only do that when we've had some embarrassing losses. We won 2 out of 3 in Boston! I know, guys, I know. But the Wild Card Game is bearing down on us. I just want to get a few thoughts out of my head before that goes down. Sooo, Game 1 in Boston on Friday night.  JA "Peanut Butter" Happ was his classic boring, yet consistent, self. Don't let that stat line fool you. It's a trick! A trap, if...

The Wild Card roster is starting to take shape! The Yankees announced that Luis Severino will be taking the ball on Wednesday night in the Bronx, hoping to redeem himself for the abysmal second half of this season, as well as last year’s Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins. I think this is ultimately the right move when you consider how Boone, Cashman, and Co. are planning to attack this game. It isn’t like a normal start. If it were, my first choice would probably still be Masahiro Tanaka and I would have been very okay with JA Happ...

Who doesn't love a 12-1 smackdown? Stupid question right? NOW, who doesn't love a 12-1 smackdown, at the Trop? I love it even more. Because FUCK THE TROP. Finally, after a season-long struggle at this hellhole of a baseball stadium, we emerged victorious. Our luxurious team airplane soared away from the Tampa area with 3/4 series win and a 12-1 destruction on Thursday afternoon. With those pesky Athletics nipping at our heels like a pack of menacing junkyard dogs, this was a nice confidence booster victory. For real.  And I'm not talking about the Always Sunny situation when they tried to get...

UGH. Why do we keep having our team do this to us? They fall behind in a game, then make a miraculous comeback, only to fall short. They get us all hyped up and excited - only to send our hopes and dreams crashing to the ground. This was basically the baseball equivalent of Blue Balls. Kids, if you don't know what that is...ask your parents. Or your brother. Or that homeless guy down the street from your house who keeps screaming out "It's the Government's fault!" Now, picture this: Imagine buying tickets to a Drake concert.  You're super pumped,...

WOOO! Playoffs, baby. I know we're still trying to clinch home field advantage for the Wild Card Game. And yes, these next few days still have major implications. HOWEVER (Yes, Stephen A. Voice, you know the drill by now)   It is pretty difficult to not get pumped up about a walk off victory that clinches a playoff berth. I'll be honest, my blood was pumping after Didi slid into home plate and the celebration began. I was prepared to start running around New York just out of pure adrenaline. Good thing too, because I was already late to go...
