The offseason is far from finished, but Spring Training is now one month away, and there is a more than zero percent chance that the New York Yankees have completed their major offseason transactions. The team you start the season with is never the team you end the season with, but it is about time we project the opening day lineup if the season were to hypothetically start tomorrow. With Didi Gregorius out and Manny Machado and Bryce Harper seemingly out of the picture, who would be on that Opening Day 25-man crew? This is a long blog, so I'm...

The New York Yankees’ 2018 season has come and gone. That really sucks. No other way to put it, really. At least I have the Giants? The Knicks? I like LeBron, at least I have that? Yeah, no, it’s going to be a long winter. None of my other teams are particularly close to a real shot at winning anything. That suuuuuuuucks. I have a lot of thoughts on what’s happened here. Some of them will become their own, in-depth posts as the offseason gets going. Let’s just get right into it: I don’t like to play the “Fire (insert coach here)”...

The Wild Card roster is starting to take shape! The Yankees announced that Luis Severino will be taking the ball on Wednesday night in the Bronx, hoping to redeem himself for the abysmal second half of this season, as well as last year’s Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins. I think this is ultimately the right move when you consider how Boone, Cashman, and Co. are planning to attack this game. It isn’t like a normal start. If it were, my first choice would probably still be Masahiro Tanaka and I would have been very okay with JA Happ...

Hello. It's me, Johnny. I avoided writing this recap for a while. Just kidding, it's been crazy at the office, especially Thursday and today. Well, let's just talk about this fast, shall we?  And I mean SUPER fast. That final game against the Twins sucked.... Jake Odorizzi almost no-hit us?! WHAT? HOW? That was unreal. It basically got to the point where I just wanted us to get a hit. That is a true measure of how bad things are for us.. "Oh, it's okay. We don't have to win this game. Just please stop the humiliation of getting no-hit!" And,...

I'm one of the guys that's all about staying positive around here. The Yankees are a fun, young team that is built to win both now and in the future. They've had an amazing year, really. Their biggest problem this season remains that they play in the same division as the Boston Red Sox. The Yankees are still on pace for about 101 wins. That’s awesome. With that having been said, they no longer have the “second best record in baseball” thing going for them (Houston has surpassed them and is absolutely rolling right now) and I am officially nervous...
