The Wild Card roster is starting to take shape! The Yankees announced that Luis Severino will be taking the ball on Wednesday night in the Bronx, hoping to redeem himself for the abysmal second half of this season, as well as last year’s Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins. I think this is ultimately the right move when you consider how Boone, Cashman, and Co. are planning to attack this game. It isn’t like a normal start. If it were, my first choice would probably still be Masahiro Tanaka and I would have been very okay with JA Happ...

UGH. Why do we keep having our team do this to us? They fall behind in a game, then make a miraculous comeback, only to fall short. They get us all hyped up and excited - only to send our hopes and dreams crashing to the ground. This was basically the baseball equivalent of Blue Balls. Kids, if you don't know what that is...ask your parents. Or your brother. Or that homeless guy down the street from your house who keeps screaming out "It's the Government's fault!" Now, picture this: Imagine buying tickets to a Drake concert.  You're super pumped,...

Sooo. The main question after this game is: "have we seen enough from Sevy for him to start the Wild Card Game?" And yes, I'm writing this on Friday - I'm an honest man, wouldn't lie to you guys. But the question still applies, even if we've had days to consider it! Sevy's line on Tuesday was: 5 IP, 4 hits, 2 ER, 3 walks, 7 Ks The man cruised through the first 2 innings, like Dominic Toretto down the streets of LA. Yes, that was another Rovell/Mike Greenberg joke. I try to embrace my corny side and throw a...

Despite what Yankees Twitter might tell you, there have been many Magic Moments for the 2018 Yankees. We've got all of them for you on this thread.   April 26- Gary Walks-Off the Twins Favorite song from favorite baseball movie + favorite player doing my favorite thing — Jomboy (@Jomboy_) April 26, 2018  Gary's walk-off homer against Minnesota was a huge lift, and it was the hit that felt like the thing that kickstarted a long string of magic moments early in the year. The Yanks went down 3-0 on a pair of annoying homers in the third and sixth innings, respectively....

The Yanks have gotten several guys back from DL stints and have gotten good news on some other injury concerns recently. They’re about as healthy as they’ve been all year! Despite the good news they’ve gotten, I just can’t help but feel very concerned about a few of the injuries they’re dealing with. Specifically, I’m worried about four guys as we’re approaching the postseason. Aaron Hicks Hicks is dealing with hamstring tightness. He also had the foul ball off his ankle that I’m sure doesn't feel stellar at the moment. He had the good news that the MRI was clean...
