The offseason is far from finished, but Spring Training is now one month away, and there is a more than zero percent chance that the New York Yankees have completed their major offseason transactions. The team you start the season with is never the team you end the season with, but it is about time we project the opening day lineup if the season were to hypothetically start tomorrow. With Didi Gregorius out and Manny Machado and Bryce Harper seemingly out of the picture, who would be on that Opening Day 25-man crew? This is a long blog, so I'm...

Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez underwent left shoulder debridement surgery earlier this week. The injured shoulder reportedly had been bothering Sanchez since 2017, and it started flaring up again this offseason so the Yanks decided to pull the trigger on just getting the surgery. The expected recovery time for this procedure is supposed to be three months, putting Gary in line to return to baseball around early-mid February, although Cashman played it safe and just said (I’m paraphrasing) that he’ll almost certainly be ready for opening day. Kinda has to play it safe after the “Aaron Judge will return in three...

The New York Yankees’ 2018 season has come and gone. That really sucks. No other way to put it, really. At least I have the Giants? The Knicks? I like LeBron, at least I have that? Yeah, no, it’s going to be a long winter. None of my other teams are particularly close to a real shot at winning anything. That suuuuuuuucks. I have a lot of thoughts on what’s happened here. Some of them will become their own, in-depth posts as the offseason gets going. Let’s just get right into it: I don’t like to play the “Fire (insert coach here)”...

OKAY! Now that is what I call a dub!  Coming off that super frustrating loss on Friday night, our squad rebounded in a big way. Instead of wallowing in sadness and alcohol (which I might have done, but I'm not admitting to anything), how did they respond? By KICKING the shit out of Boston on Saturday night! It all started off, right away, when Mr. Aaron Judge decided to launch a goddamn moonshot into the stratosphere.     #ALLRISE - Aaron Judge with a titanic blast to give the #Yankees a quick 1-0 lead! 📷: @TBSNetwork pic.twitter.com/kJTXNTKtUP — YES Network (@YESNetwork) October...

Okay, I'm about to run through this final regular season series REAL quick. Now I know what you're thinking...Johnny, you usually only do that when we've had some embarrassing losses. We won 2 out of 3 in Boston! I know, guys, I know. But the Wild Card Game is bearing down on us. I just want to get a few thoughts out of my head before that goes down. Sooo, Game 1 in Boston on Friday night.  JA "Peanut Butter" Happ was his classic boring, yet consistent, self. Don't let that stat line fool you. It's a trick! A trap, if...
