The offseason is far from finished, but Spring Training is now one month away, and there is a more than zero percent chance that the New York Yankees have completed their major offseason transactions. The team you start the season with is never the team you end the season with, but it is about time we project the opening day lineup if the season were to hypothetically start tomorrow. With Didi Gregorius out and Manny Machado and Bryce Harper seemingly out of the picture, who would be on that Opening Day 25-man crew? This is a long blog, so I'm...

Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez underwent left shoulder debridement surgery earlier this week. The injured shoulder reportedly had been bothering Sanchez since 2017, and it started flaring up again this offseason so the Yanks decided to pull the trigger on just getting the surgery. The expected recovery time for this procedure is supposed to be three months, putting Gary in line to return to baseball around early-mid February, although Cashman played it safe and just said (I’m paraphrasing) that he’ll almost certainly be ready for opening day. Kinda has to play it safe after the “Aaron Judge will return in three...

I have no words. Literally. Okay, not literally... I'm a world-class blog boy - I can always conjure up a pretty decent blog. Even when I'm disgusted and frustrated by the events I am covering. And last night definitely falls under that category. Holy shit. What the FUCK was that game last night??? I don't even know where to begin.  I was in the Bronx yesterday, watching the game from Stan's. For those who aren't familar, Stan's is a bar across the street from Yankee Stadium, known for being the greatest Yankee bar in the world. Anyone who disagrees...you are wrong. The...

A bunch of records we're broken on Saturday afternoon   100 wins. 3 records set. It was landmark day for the Yanks. pic.twitter.com/AmD9D5VPcj — Jomboy (@Jomboy_) September 29, 2018     We passed the Mariners' 1997 record of 264 regular season homers, as Gleyber hit #265! WOW. And we reached 100 wins in a season! DOUBLE WOW. AND we became the first team to hit 20 home runs from each position in the lineup. 1-9. TRIPLE WOW. And Miggy passed Joe DiMaggio's rookie record for doubles as a Yankee! ROOKIE OF THE YEAR! I know that this season will be...

The Wild Card roster is starting to take shape! The Yankees announced that Luis Severino will be taking the ball on Wednesday night in the Bronx, hoping to redeem himself for the abysmal second half of this season, as well as last year’s Wild Card Game against the Minnesota Twins. I think this is ultimately the right move when you consider how Boone, Cashman, and Co. are planning to attack this game. It isn’t like a normal start. If it were, my first choice would probably still be Masahiro Tanaka and I would have been very okay with JA Happ...
